I hope you all are enjoying a beautiful weekend. In some parts of the world it is still covered with a blanket of beautiful snow. But here the weather is being unusually warm for this time of year. Saturdays are not my days off, I rarely get any personal knitting done, and I have very little to share.
But there are plenty of other knitters and crafters out there that have plenty of stitching fun to show off!
Kat at Just Crafty Enough shows us how to make the cutest knitted peeps.
I love peeps, I think they are adorable. I just don’t like to eat them because those marshmallow peeps are too sweet for me. But these can be knitted up and tucked on a shelf of my desk all spring and summer long. These are knit up on DPNs, making a cute quick project for low-calorie Easter goodies.
Heather at Laundry Room Quilts (Her blog is new, and has the cutest header!) just completed a new quilt she calls “Spring is Sprung”
Heather is co-founder of Bound Together Designs, and sells her custom quilts. She designs each quilt so every one is an original work of stitching art. I have one of her quilts, and will be ordering another one soon! Stop by Bound Together Designs and see her other finished works!
Another blog I recently found is by a knitter living in Germany Lumia Jais aka the Worsted Knitt shared her “Ugly Duckling” socks. We’ve all have purchased or obtained a yarn that we really liked in the store or at the swap, but once we got it home we were questioning our sanity for picking this one up. She was brave enough to give her ugly yarn a chance, and when knit up it made a gorgeous pair of socks. I have a few balls of “ugly” yarn, and this gives me courage to try them out soon too!
Erin of Creating the Day shared her first pattern! Sam’s Brimmed Beanie!
The hat created by this pattern is a really cute brim hat designed to keep the ears warm and toasty. It looks like it would be a great knit for the men, and in pink and purple would be so cute for ladies! The wide brim appears that it would do a good job of keeping the hat secure and your ears warm. I think I will knit this one up for my morning runs (when the mornings are chilly).
These are a few of the posts that caught my eye this weekend. What are a few of you faves from this past week? Share them on your own blog and post the link to your blog in the comments below!
Until next time, have a StitchTastic Day!
